Stray voltage 2002 Ranger 2.3

2002 Ranger 2.3.

With the key off, I have a floating voltage between 2VDC and 4VDC at 1mA on the hot in run circuit.

I have disconnected the engine harness and the harness on the firewall and still have the voltage.

I have removed every fuse, relay, and diode.

I have disassembled the battery junction box and exposed all of the wire near it and see no evidence of fused or hot wire.

HVAC is disconnected.

The ABS is disconnected.

It appears the problem is under the hood but all I can come up with is fused wires. Before I skin the whole thing, does anyone have any suggestions.

What is your actual problem? Up to 70ma is normal on newer cars and trucks as far as battery drain with the key off.

The aftermarket box I am using to drive the speedometer tach CEL is freezing out at seeing the voltage not going to zero.
I was concerned about problems in the system as I never heard it run.

I f nothing pops out I guess isolate it with relay.

It works if you isolate it.

There are 3 different hot in run position circuits coming from the ignition switch. Have you tried them all?

One is a black/lightgreen wire that feeds fuses 16 and 20 in the underdash fuse box. This circuit is also the only one that is hot in ACC position.

The 2nd is a lightgreen/violet that feeds fuse 11 in the same underdash fuse box.

The 3rd is a grey/yellow that feeds fuses 10, 2, and 14 in the underdash fuse box.
