my frined has a 428 cj hes rebuilding it has a stock alluminum intake they said it came from a police car but i dont know
did they ever make a stock aluminum intake on a 428cj and will it have bigger valves than my 460 hes bragging because it has bigger valves but the ports are much smaller
PI's came with aluminum intakes until the cj was introduced in early '68. At that point, Ford cast the PI intake, with slight changes, in iron to save cost. The PI's after that also got the cast iron version of the PI intake. The cast iron CJ manifold is C8OE-C, the aluminum PI is C6AZ-H
Nice engine!! The 428PI had 2.03 intake valves and 1.56 exhaust valves. It's up to you guys to decide what the 460 has!!(But they are probably bigger) It depends on the year the 460 heads are.
