flashing airbag advice

Airbag flashing lights in a cyclic rhythm: ____1_1-1-1---- single flash, pause, 4 flashes, pause, repeats. Occurs even after battery unplugged.

looking on google: it indicates that I need a new module...

DTC B1921: Air bag diagnostic monitor ground circuit open. Lamp flash code: 14
Possible Source(s):

Air bag control module internal fault.Action(s) to take:
INSTALL a new air bag control module. For additional information, refer to «Air Bag Control Module(501-20 Supplemental Restraint System)» in this Section. REPEAT the self-test, CLEAR the DTCs.

Is this the module under the drivers side dash?
Can my module be repaired, or better to outright replaced with used one from ebay? 1995 E-150 conversion van, 5.8 auto tranny w/ overdrive

It's often a broken circuit trace in the clock-spring tape (maintains circuit during steering wheel rotation) Certain years are very expensive to replace or even find. The clock-spring for my 94 sells for $340. I rebuilt with new ribbon for $20 but discovered the problem was elsewhere. Probably in the control module under dash as you have identified. I went no further and drive it as-is.If you decide to remove the bulb in the instrument panel you will soon start hearing a screeching tone. Sometimes sounds like morse code. That's the miniature speaker in the Control Module acting as a redundant alert when the bulb has failed. I desoldered and removed mine. Sometimes it takes a lot of work to live a dangerous life. I guess we just didn't notice it as much in 1964.

A piece of electrical tape over the light in the dash fixed it for me.

My cable on the drivers side snapped too, so much for technology, never have I had a belt snap, not even those in the junkyard. I bought a junkyard replacement, that ram looking thing on the belt must be expensive, new is almost $200, it has electronics in it linking to the airbag I think, wonder if it's why my light is on.
