I use the mobile version from my IPhone and it has been happening more and more frequently over the past month. Sadly I am not a paid member as I can not afford to pay money for everything I am interested in or I would pay just to try it.

Same here. I've used ABP on Firefox, Chrome, Opera and Vivaldi.

I am a mod on another forum and I don't think this is an ad thing. When it happened to us it was some sort of virus. Our tech people had to shut the site down for several hours to squash it out. It seems to be happening here only on the mobile platform for some reason. I have not seen anything pop up other than the typical side and top bar ads when using a computer. Either way, I wont view the site mobile until this is fixed....very annoying.
Note: I don't think this is a virus that will damage your phone or computer but is some sort of annoying ad bug on the forum.

Same here - not an issue on my desktop but the mobile version (Safari/iPhone) is under constant assault from Amazon, Wal*Mart, etc for these gift card entries...
Its a pain to be right in the middle of reading a post and have that ad/intrusion pop-up. Hate it.

Not on mine. Maybe it’s the phone that’s infected and not the website.
Edit: Naturally, right after posting this (using my phone) I got the aforementioned pop-up/redirect. The only way I could get out of it was shut down the browser completely. And yes, it made it impossible to read the forum, let alone post.

After switching to the Full site I’ve read at the bottom of the screen that this forum partners with Amazon to fulfill income needs. I guess the adds are just more intrusive on the mobile version than the desktop version. 🤷🏼*♂️
