Go with the closest dealer that provides the best service. I prefer Boss, I find their design to be very simple and reliable vs. the other guys. I’ve had Western in the past, and I’m not a fan of their new wiring architecture. What are you planning on using the plow for?

Man I got to be that one guy that is gonna say get a western wideout! I ran v-blades but I just don't see a use for them I found. not gonna lie I run my wideout in 10ft mode I never use the wing for scoop or fold each wing in to keep snow from rolling off . But I'm a decent plower but some will argue lol

You can travel highway speeds with any plow. Maybe the V would be more aerodynamic but probably not noticeable. The real reasons for V-plows are there ability to bust through deep snow as they keep the forces balanced and do not push the truck sideways as a straight plow will. Also the scoop capabilities of being able to put both wings forward and carry snow to where it needs to be.
