As far as 73-79 4wd same same as far as I know. What are you trying to figure out a cheap lift lift possibility or are you needing to source a replacement?

I sas my 92 f150 with a D44 out of a 78 f150 and used the stock 78 coil buckets with new bronco graveyard 4" lift springs and only netted a 2" lift over my stock ttb height.
My stock 92 coil buckets are 10" tall and the buckets from the 78 are 10.5", I was under the impression the 78/79 buckets were 2" shorter.
I thought the same thing, I never measured them but I did compare them to my ttb coils and the were roughly four inches taller.
I have it in my head for some reason the 78 buckets where shorter than the ttb buckets, but mine are taller so im clueless as to what happened.
No, I left the ttb springs attached to the axles when I removed them from the truck.
I checked my receipt to JBG and it shows 4"+ lift coils, so unless they packaged the springs in the wrong box, there has to be something up with my buckets.
Would you happen to have any buckets you could measure to compare mine to?
Hey Rich I just realized it was you lol.
I haven't been in this section in yrs.
How you been?
I guess they might of got the wrong ones in the box, always a possibility? I have two 79 parts Bronco's and a 2wd 76 F100 that I can put a tape measure on for ya.
As always just working 40 a week, working on my trucks/Bronco's when I can. You should try to stop by the Mo chapter monthly chat/BS thread.
Oh man I hear ya, I started a job three yrs ago and I'm hardly home any more, I traded my 79 for this 92 just before i started and been working on it every time I do come home.
I'll try to stop by from time to time, I haven't been on this site much lately, well the last three weeks i have because im home for the holidays so been looking for info on here again.
I will try to throw a tape measure at those buckets after work today.
Ok tossed it at it and it came back and hit me in the chin. lol
1979 Bronco XLT all stock, 351M auto. Buckets measured from the bottom of the bucket itself, then going straight up the frame and inline with the top of the bucket, not following the angled angle of the bucket, they are 12" tall.

Hmmm.
So even yours differ from mine then.
If I remember right the guy I bought the axle from said it came out of a 78 bronco.
Here are some pictures of mine and I'll throw one in of the ttb bucket.
