Havent done a ton this winter, finally settled on stake mounts for the antennas for the HAM and CB, that was challenging but I think it turned out nice enough.
Right now the truck has been washed, and the entire truck has had the paint decontaminated with a clay bar, I cant believe how filthy the truck was, and how poorly the line-x guys did protecting the paint. With that being said, I'm at the point now where I'm not sure if I should just wax the truck, or polish and wax the truck. I was thinking about a ceramic coating but the longest the truck sits outside is while we camp, and it doesn't get driven in the winter months so I may just polish and wax the truck. It doesn't need much correction I have a couple of spots that need attention, and some funk staining on the fuel door, I hope it comes out.
Next up is to get some power in the cab to a distribution block and get the HAM wired in, only issue I'm having is getting the drivers side back seat down I cant get my big sausages back there to release the latch.
I hear you on the sausages! You may already know that if you lift the bottom seat cushion a little, the seat back moves away from the cab just enough to fit a couple sausages behind it to lift the lever.
I do but I still cant seem to get it, I've tried from the top and the bottom, I was gonna ask the domestic supervisor but that may lead to an argument I'm not willing to have.
Are there any hacks that allow me to keep the high camera on the third brake light on when needed. I wanted to be able to look into the bed if I'm travelling and hear some movement or noise in the bed in case something comes loose or is moving around BUT as soon as you exceed 2-3 mph the camera goes off. I can also see using the tailgate camera to look straight down when parking to see if the back end it hanging over the painted parking spot line.
I also cant belive the wheels options have not changed. I went platinum and they didnt even have an option. Super duty’s and black wheels need to catch up. I went Fuel with 275/65/20 KO2. I leveled 1.5” and love the look.

For those following along, some more things I can cross off the list:
Built Right Rear seat latch done
Stubby antenna done
Ham/CB install done just need to fine tune things
Went with a CURT GN Ball Kit to raise the Goose Box up a little
Wow, nice! I really like the look of that. I'm hoping to finally install my upfitter switches in the next month, then may install a small CB setup. We'd mainly use it only when taking the TC north up the Haul Road - it's good to be able to call out when you're beginning to head up Atigun Pass. The truckers appreciate knowing when a non-commercial '4 wheeler' is in the pass. Might just get a handheld but I like the in-truck units.

Its a little over kill for how much Im in the truck, however we do plan to travel a lot more when my daughter gets a little older and this way here I can do everything I want/need in 1 unit and have to have multiple radios. Honestly there just isn't the room to mount things in these trucks like my 06 had. I had a nice Havis box that all my stuff was in. I have the main body for the radio under the rear seats which I always have stuff in there anyway so the flat floor is a non issue for me as well.
Someday we hope to get up to Alaska with the 5er and see the state, we love the outdoors so its on our list of places to go.

Our truck doesn't have the console and I'm constantly going back and forth on if that's a good thing or not. I hear you on the lack of mounting room, tho. Still, I'm super excited to install the upfitters and then other toys later on.
When you make it up to visit, look me up and/or give us a heads up. We recently met with some folks from Indiana who have the same model TC we do and a slightly older F350 (pic below). Was a real pleasure to visit, share some of our local knowledge, and help them get the most out of their trip. We're very blessed and fortunate to have the setup we do. Our son is 7 (going on 18!) and loves all the camping/fishing/hunting/traveling. He's a real adventurer at heart and it makes me feel like a good dad to be able to give him these experiences.

Warbird, I'm about 15 months away from retirement and my wife and I plan to purchase a Host TC, we have both always dreamed of visiting Alaska. Having someone that is local to Alaska that we can link up with would make the trip that much better. What part of Alaska are you in?
I will do that for sure. My daughter is only 3 and she cant get enough of the outdoors. Sadly with my shop being so busy and my wife working full time we don't get out as much as any of us would like. I've got quite a few years before I can even think about retirement so I just gotta ride it out for now.

We live in Fairbanks, which is in the Interior of Alaska. We met up with the folks from Indiana at Tangle Lakes campground - it was sort of a midway point. Then we traveled the Denali Hwy. They really enjoyed it. *edit* Let me know when you plan to visit! And you'll really like the Host campers. They're amazing.
