degas / coolant cap

Anyone know the part number for the 20lb cap?

oem is 16lbs, any big box parts store has them.

that part number says 20lbs but it does not look like its for a 6.0 truck.

Yes, it fits our degas bottle just fine. IIRC it's from a focus. I've been running one for about 5 years now with no problems.

With the potential these trucks have for radiator leaks why would you want to go from 16 to 20 lbs? Just curious.

I as wondering as well, my degas looks like it's starting to swell at the seam, and that's with the standard cap

If 4 psi is the make or break for your cooling system it's already failed. The added pressure increases the boiling point which helps with preventing steam pockets in the heads.

Obviously you haven't followed many of the radiator threads. On top of that I'm quite sure Ford has extensive testing into what will and won't cause steam pockets, the incorrect coolant being culprit number 1.

I'd still be driving my 6.0 if Ford hadn't bought it back after I owned it for 10 years.
