I have been using them since 2010. The one at my dealership is great. The Works with discount and every 4th or 5th oil change is free.
On my new 2017 Eco-boost, I had them do the first oil change in full synthetic, and it gets pricey to go full synthetic. About an extra $30 Bucks I think.
Ford's Quick Lane service can be a good choice. Unfortunately, my experience over the last few years has been not so good. When the vehicle is under Ford's 3r/36,000 warranty - it is a good, proper and generally quick service. After that the up-sell begins.
I have literally caught my dealer in this effort at that own profits from my pocketbook. Unscheduled maintenance based on Ford's guide - tranny, gear boxes and especially shocks/brakes. Looking back, there was more that was questionable.
For the last five years I have been buying Motorcraft oil and filters at Walmart. Take that to a good shop and do believe I am getting very good service. When they tell me I need something, I believe them.
Ironically I work in at Quick Lane at the local Ford dealer by me. in regards about warranty stuff pretty much ford doesn't want us to sell warranty. I hate that sometimes but if we work on a vehicle that has like 5-10K miles on it and its leaking oil or the shock is leaking or anything like that we cant say anything about it unless it's major to the point where it would cost a motor or trans if nothing is done about it. It sucks but that's what we are told and we will show our managers it and they will know. I have seen some new 3.5 ecoboost f-150's with the composite oil pans have a decent leak at 5-6K miles and we can't say anything about the oil leak unless the customer complains about it. And also that includes anything on a vehicle under warranty. Also in regards to maintenance things on vehicles i think all the dealers go with their own schedule for when things should be done on a vehicle. like one example is that we will recommend diff flush and transfer case flush at around 100K or if someone tows a lot with their truck around 60-70K miles. So I mean it just depends on your dealer on what they go by for maintenance items but when it comes to warranty stuff we can's say anything about it unless you the customer complains about it. Y'all can say whatever but sadly that's how manufactures work at least on mass produced consumer vehicles. Also if you want to you can always request to look at your vehicle when it's in the air. Also the bulk oil we uses is synthetic blend unless a customer request full synthetic for their vehicle. Ford doesn't make a synthetic blend 5w-50 oil nor do they make a full synthetic 0w-20 oil or 10w-30 diesel oil.
My experience with dealership oil changes hasn't been good. On my 04 that I had it was overfilled all 3 times I brought it in, even after telling them it had been overfilled previously, and once the oil filter leaked because it wasn't tightened properly.
I like this dealership and any other work I've had done was done properly, but no more oil changes there.

Wow, that's awful. That is definitely a dealer issue, because my Quick lane never tries to up sell, as a matter of fact when I told them to put the full synthetic in my new Ecoboost they told me it wasn't really necessary. I thanked them and said I just feel better using the full syn with the turbos.

Glad that you posted that. Good Info there. Since I'm the op on this thread and I have used Quick Lane many times and never have had a problems I feel that 99.9% of them are Good to go. But there are some that leave a little bit to be desired.
But they always reminded me about the Rear Main Seal leak that my old F250 6.0 had after 5k miles, (that's why they called them 6.0 leakers). Since my f250 ran so good and really never had any major problems early on, I didn't want FORD to touch it ! I really didn't care that it dripped once in a while.
Frankly just about every single diesel that I've worked on has some sort of oil leak. Although i will say being on the tech side you see some ridiculous stuff come in and also some of the stuff you end up having to do. Like I had to add engine dye for a 2002 7.3 powerstroke with 280K. It's just kinda like the truck has lasted this long with the oil leak makes no sense to dump the money into fixing it unless you go and build the motor.
