Do your brake lights work?

If it is because of the shift interlock, check your owners manual. It may have an explanation of how to over ride the interlock to get it out of park

I've heard if you turn the key without starting, place your foot on the brake and then shift to neutral, it will shift out and you can start it in neutral.

you might need to replace the brake pedal position sensor, had one go out in a 2010 and it would do the same thing. check to see if the brake lights are coming on and if you hear a click from the center console when you press the brake pedal.
