I traded in the import for the Escape. We are now a 4 Ford family again. I love it but I am thinking it may take most of its life and the rest of my life to figure out all the gadgets. Sad part is I am a "techy" and traded a high end tech vehicle!
Any way I will let everyone know the progress of my journey and any tips and oops's I have!
If anyone has any tips or tricks I am all ears! LOL
I really wanted a F-150 but wound up leasing a 2017 Titanium AWD, 2.0, 300A pkg, and tow pkg that I picked up on Labor Day. Everything about the car is great except for one thing - the fuel economy is awful. My fuelly app says about 17 mpg over 3200 miles.
The 2.0 is very peppy and responsive, vehicle handles really well. I would like a little more feedback when steering. I like whatever version of SYNC I have, very responsive to voice commands. Of course my kids like playing with the ambient lighting and NAV. Having a remote start has been really good lately too. I was originally going to go for an SE with 201A pkg but wanted push button start and home link. Glad I did.
Best of luck with yours. Ruby Red looks great. Better than the black I got for sure. I wish I had gotten black interior instead of tan. Keep us posted on how the Escape works out for you.
This has the white leather. The last had light tan and I did not have trouble keeping it clean. I really did nothing special other than watching what I sat in the seats without a towel down. I have had black seats before and did not like the blistered butt 6 months a year. I also had a black Buick Electra 225 and did love that car enough that if I found one I would get it. But that much black paint would just about set the interior on fire in the sun in the winter. Rac the A/C most of the year and i live in WV! LOL
