Make sure your tire pressure is not too high.
With my 2017 6.7L PSD I run 60 lbs in Front and 55 lbs in Rear when unloaded.
Sticker on Driver Door says to run 60 lbs in Front and 65 lbs in Rear. Which will give
a very rough ride unloaded. I put a 300 lb Fiberglass Cap on mine. And this subdued the ride
even a little more.
Lots of threads on improving the ride on this forum. General consensus is replacing the factory shocks, and dropping the tire pressures. I’m running Fox 2.0 shocks and about 50 psi all the way around when not towing anything. Both helped considerably, but tire pressure made the biggest difference. Now if I could figure out how to reduce the bump steer. My steering wheel moves pretty much all the time. My only real complaint compared to the GMC I came from. I’ve been researching steering stabilizers, but haven’t pulled the trigger yet.
Are you getting a TPMS light at 55 psi in the rear?
That’s normal, I used to ride with my pressure the same but the dang tire pressure warning bothered me way to much. I know it could have been corrected with for scan but I just accepted it was a truck and not a caddy.
Don't add a stiff Helwig rear sway bar because the other kids are doing it..
Disco the front sway bar if off road-ish.
Remove the overload spring if you don't need it, or have airbags. (my 250 XL has no overload spring)
Carli 2.5 level kit, full ride $$$$$ version.
Stay on top of shock maintenance.
Use high quality shocks.
Avoid big wheels. 17-18" is fine.
Switch to the soft front springs.
Try different front springs. Although I don't find the plow springs offensive at all.
Get a longer wheelbased version.
Man up, it's all in your head. You're not bleeding or anything. These trucks ride great compared to any that came before.
I was wondering what others are doing to improve the ride quality on 2017 F-250's. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.
As others have stated. Lower your tire pressure when unloaded is the biggest help. I run 50 to 55lbs Ft and Rear. And get really good shocks. I installed the Fox 2.0s.
