We are getting the smoke from up north and local fires. My mother's Dr office called her today to sat stay in doors and don't open any windows.
Thank goodness for A/C and heat pumps. I feel sorry for people that don't have a way to keep cool other than opening a window.

Good afternoon! It's hot and smokey. Tomorrow it's back to work on the Acura project car so I can hopefully get that outta mu garage before fall hits.

 

Western Washington looks like we are in a fog bank.
"THEY" say it is to clear out some tonight. We will just have to wait and see.

Haha happy Thursday indeed. Yeah its older than me even . It's a 74 Datsun 260Z that I picked up for a couple hundred bucks. Needs a lot of love but will be cool eventually.

 

When I was working at Seatac my boss had an ancient Datsun pickup that he used for on ramp work and to also drive home.
The thing still had an 8 track in it that he used to listen to. That was in 2003. The on going bet was that they would give it to him
and likely burry him in it. But he left about 5 years after I did and I have no clue what happened to that truck.

HR people can be so dumb. Here is an example.

IA or INSPECTION AUTHORIZATION is location dependent. If they have too many they won't give you one or if you move from one location to another you can't always
take with you. And if they have too many in that location your SOL even if you have held one where your coming from. Now if the location your moving to is short on IAs
and you have the time and can pass the test...

Like I said HR people can be so dumb at times.

 

Gotta love HR. When I did a lot of hiring it always amazing me the resumes they would pass along as qualified. Our guy just didnt get it at my old job.

I hope everyone had a good weekend. At the risk of getting personal we spent Saturday and Sunday in the ER with my 2 year old. She had a seizure at home Saturday afternoon so took an ambulance ride in for a 6 hour stay at the hospital. Got sent home that night only to be called back at 10pm last night for what they said were strange blood test results that either they got it contsminated or she was deathly ill. They decided to redraw blood after sitting there 3 hours and finally sent us home at 1am since she had no other symptoms.

little girl is feeling fine today... still waiting on a call on the results.
