Seat Belt Bolt problem

Hi!
Need suggestions again! Got my seat bench out but I have problems with one
of the bolts for the seat belts. Sprayed plenty of penetrating oil on the bolts for days just to avoid this but one is seized. I broke the tip of the torx socket but the bolt head is still okey. Wanted to ask you for suggestions before I destroy bolt head and have to drill. Should I try to warm up the welded nut under the Truck?

In my experience the effect of an impact type driver helps alot with seized fasteners. They sort of provide the right impulse to break things loose. Until I owned one I think I broke more fasteners than if I had used an impact.

If you don't have an impact tool, at the very minimum try a hammer impact that you hit with a hammer. They aren't too expensive. Soaking with pb blaster or similar for days and heat helps too. Some swear by melting wax into the threads and apply heat.

I think the problem is the corrosion that occurs on the exposed threads of the seat belt bolts. Maybe try wire brushing what is exposed as an extra measure so that once it is broke loose it comes out easier.

it may sound counter to what you are trying to do but try tightening the bolt also. sometimes this will break it loose.

X2 on 1/2 air impact and quality torx bit, PB blaster the top and bottom. Let it soak, get the air gun as close as you can (not a lot of extensions) yes I see the seat belt retractor almost right in the way. And hit it with max gun PSI in BOTH directions.

Make sure you use lots of downward force to hold the bit in there. Also slightly wet the torx bit and stick it in some sand/fine dirt or some white Comet Powder. That helps with the bit to get a grip. Same trick for a screwdriver and a work phillips head screw.

And yes is possible apply some head to the nut, careful that is carpet on the top side right? Also the very end of that bolt is rounded and smooth and the threads start up a bit, if you can get a pair of vice grips on the very end and have a buddy also turn in the loosening direction when you are impacting on it on the top side might help.

Thanks a lot for suggestions! I will need a coulple of days to plan this and buy a new T-50 Torx bit. I will also cut the Carpet around the Belt Retractor (old Carpet in going out anyway) to avoid to have too much Carpet around when
heating the Nut. Thanks!!!

Everything, repeat,Everything is rusted or frozen pretty much solid after just a few years here in Vermont. A lifetime of working on vehicles make rusted nut & bolt removal very routine.... you expect it every time! The easiest and quickest 1st try on the seat belt bolt would be to give it 2 or 3 GOOD whacks, on the head of the bolt, with a hammer straight down. That probably will jar it enough to break it loose, then work it back & forth, in and out if needed ,then out. Didn't do it? Then # 2 try would be the heat on the nut from underneath. Even a small propane torch would probably be enough to get the bolt started. Once it moves a bit, more penetrating oil, back and forth, over and over 'til out.

Just want to thank you, guys. My neighbour had a Torx 50 and after 2 times with some heat on the Nut the Bolt came off. First time I had to stop because
when heat was spread from Nut to Bolt it seized again. Second time it came off.
Thanks a lot!!!
