So i could use a little help i recently got my first 6.0 it’s a 2003 with an06 engine and trans last night i ran out of fuel on my way to the pump yes i know this is not good at all but i got it to the station afterward and put fuel in it let the pump run 5 times before trying to start it cranked it and it started right up i got it home and went out the next day to start it got it started, coolant got to about 60 degrees and then it died and i couldn’t get it started again so i let it sit went out about 3 hours later and tried again and it started up and ran until the coolant got to about 120 and it died again and couldn’t get it to start the idle did sound a little rough but does anyone know what it could be i was thinking it might be the fuel filter but not for sure any help would be appreciated

Do you have anything to monitor live data with? ICP and IPR numbers would be helpful to give us for diagnosis.
also, not as simple, but do you have a fuel pressure gauge?

I agree, a fuel pressure gauge would help. Also might try a bubble test

Is this a rear tank c&c? Did you fill the tank and how many gallons did it take (how many gallon tank is it)? When it stalls and you cycle the key back on, can you hear the fuel pump HFCM, located on the frame, run? Did you change the fuel filters (both)?
After it stalls remove the upper fuel filter and check if it fills up when the key is turned on. It's easy to suspect a fuel issue since you ran it so low and it is a "new to you" truck so I would rule that out first but could be coincidental.
Do you have anyway to monitor vitals such as Forscan or TorquePro?

I got it to half a tank not sure how big it is but about 50$ gets me half, the fuel pump does kick on when i cycle the key, i haven’t changed the fuel filter yet because my local auto parts store was closed and i couldn’t get one and I did notice that the lines coming from my coolant filtration system where frozen so I’m pretty sure the guy who previously owned it put water in it instead of coolant so I’m going to try and get it in my garage and warm it up with a heater and drain the water and put coolant in

You really need to stick w/ OEM fuel filters (and oil filters). Racor, Ford, and International filters are all I would use. They have some important features that aftermarket often times leaves off.

Also, if you don't know the coolant type or concentration, you should do a complete drain and flush of the system. Mixing of coolant types can cause some gelling. Low coolant concentrations can lead to corrosion. Both of these issues can plug an oil cooler, if it isn't plugged already.

You really should get a monitoring system to check up on things (which you might have since you seem to know the approximate coolant temps), and the first thing to look at would be the coolant and oil temps after getting the engine fully warmed up.

Low fuel pressure can damage injectors. That is $2k or more. You need good filtration and good flow/pressure. A fuel pressure gauge is important - it also might help pinpoint some of your current issues.
