Many trucks destined to dealers lots in cold country got them.
My 95 was a dealer stock from Colorado dealership and it had the 120v cord all neatly wrapped up along side of the passenger inner fender.
I know several people that live where it gets entirely too cold and they think that the Kats type percolating (circulating) coolant heaters do a great job.
