Find a good machine shop in your area then ask them this question. You will likely need machine work done too, and they will know exactly what you will need.
Its a Ford V-8 360, 5.9l. 1968........ I posted the wrong year on this thread name, its a 1968.
The engine runs fine right now. Pretty much all the gaskets leak, and she burns a bit of oil for sure.
Does anyone have experience rebuilding these? Is it as straight forward as I think it'll be.
I rebuilt my 360 into a 390 in my garage. I had the block work done at a machine shop and did all the assembly myself. It does take some specific tools and a good understanding of mechanics but is very doable in my opinion.

I built my 390 myself , found a 1967 Tbird 390 donor local .
If you have rebuilt a motor before and have the tools yes you can do it yourself .
FE motors are a little pricey to rebuild compared to a small block etc
