I’ve seen three variations to the stock bezel. One is all chrome, the next is all chrome except very back inside section and third has chrome front edge, silver/gray inner sides with black back section. Can someone tell me which would be Factory for 72’ Ranger XLT?
I got one from a 71 ranger xlt with the silver/gray an it's painted part was worn off around *****, Ended up painting black satin that made it look better.
Never saw a unpainted one of one color or another.

Thanks Orich. That confirms my suspicion that the all chrome or chrome/black only is aftermarket. The gray sides must be factory. I appreciate your response.
I bough a new oem one at the ford dealer back in the late 70's an it was black/chrome my truck is a Custom that had no radio when I got from a second owner..
I guess it just comes in different colors per what model it is.

Ford replaced the original 1968/70 F100/750 radio bezel (C8TZ-18842-A) with the 1971 (1971/72) F100/350 radio bezel (D1TZ-18842-A) for use as a "service part replacement."

I've still have a very nice black/chrome one that is almost new looking.
pm me if interested.

I had a problem sending you a PM. Unfortunately I just bought one. Thanks though.
By the way just bought my truck from your area Craigslist out of Hughson Ca. Rust free except drip rails which I’ll find out how bad they really are after sand blasting.
