I don't think so, I believe its a one piece molded plastic

 

Krylon offers a good paint, I think its called FUSION, made for plastic and is flexible.

 

So do i. Some color change LEDs would be cool.

 

Depends on which tailgate you have. Standard tailgate emblem is double sided tape. Powerstroke 6.7 emblems are also double sided tape. Front emblem requires you to remove grill and is held on by 3 nuts.

yes they can be removed, but require a bit of work. I believe they're just plastic rivets that hold them on. I had mine painted and I think they just melted the platics rivets back together to re-attach them.
