Question Suggestions for patching floor covering?

My '93 F250 has a 2" hole worn in the rubber floor covering about where the driver's right heel rests. Otherwise the floor is not cracked or otherwise worn, and I don't feel like replacing it. Or just throwing a floor mat over it and pretending it's not there

What's the best material (and adhesive) to patch the hole with? I'm thinking about contact cement, or maybe a 3M trim adhesive. Is it actually rubber, or vinyl?
thanks.

Thanks, but black RTV would look funny on a red floor

I suppose I could glop something in there and try and smooth it, but that never seems to look "neat".

Pictures would help. I would suggest some flex tape on the bottom then tape off the heel pad and spray it with flex seal. Will look better, fill the hole and you can add more later of needed.

Go to the jy and cut out a section of vinyl from a truck that has the same interior. Melt it, glue it, or whatever you prefer to get it to stay.

Seriously.
I don't feel like removing the bench seat and any other trim that needs to come off. It's the only worn spot and I see it whenever I get in. Lots of other things to fix before this, too.

It is going to take FAR longer to remove 4 seat bolts and a couple screws that is it to do a half assed "repair"

Thanks. Your vote to just replace the floor is duly noted.
