Tips and advises for us overseas?
My truck therefore can not hav more than one seat row, because that would cost me about 100' USD. But I want the opportunity to put in tha back seats later, since the tax level reduces over years.
Because of this, I would prefer 40/20/40 instead of 40/console/40. But how are these seats compared to the 40/C/40? (the 205's are very very seldom here. Its mainly 150's imported, and just a few, so I can't go to a dealer and look.)
Any good advises on these two choises?
It also looks like the King Ranch or Platinum is unavailable in 40/20/40, so it must be a Lariat - or have I misunderstood something?
What do I miss if building a Lariat compared to a KR/Platinum?
Has anyone any experience with the powered side-steps in snow?
I am grateful if someone has some good advice
Have you been to the Ford Build site? The link should direct you to the build site where you can compare the difference between all models. I've always had a console so I can't speak to the bench seats. Good luck...

You can order a Lariat ultimate and add all the other options you want but order the 40/20/40. There are some issues with packages which may preclude so you have to try the build site and see what it does. It will ussually help by telling you want it's taking off when you select an option.
I went with a lariat ultimate with chrome package. As a result, I don't have the power steps. I would rather have solid running boards as the ice and snow building up, and the bottom of the door so they are better protected.
The thing is that the best way to get a feeling is to see and touch the different kinds, but I thought the second best was to hear from someone with experience, since there are no dealers here. A solution is of course to take a trip to US again, witch is nice in many ways
Is there in your opinion a big difference in comfort between the bucket seats and the 40/20/40? for the driver, I mean.
It's a lot of questions and options, and hard to settle down with one. The Lariat Ultimate sure looks nice withe the chrome package. Then there is super cab/crew cab questions, 6 3/4' or 8' bed...
BTW; Merry Christmas!

The 40/20/40 seats are available in XL, XLT, and Lariat only. The drivers seat in either 40/c/40 or 40/20/40 is the same for the chosen trim level and option package. You can get the 40/20/40 no problem.
Regarding having only only one row of seats, I hope you can contact Ford to see if you can buy a crew cab without the second row of seats. I do not know if that is possible though.
Regarding the power steps, they will work fine for you. you will not have any issues with snow or ice. I have these steps and live and work in the snowiest areas of the US and have never had a problem and have not head of any.
A couple other suggestions. Get the "Carpet Delete" option. It is cleaner and will be much more snow friendly. I hope you can get a diesel but I do not know about your emission regulations and diesel costs.
Merry Christmas!

[/QUOTE]That's what we are doing right now! Both parents from Germany and we keep the tradition of opening gifts from parents and relatives on Christmas eve. Then the kids get up on Christmas day to open from Santa. Merry Christmas...
If you haven't discovered this already, here is a link to a page that will help you compare the different models. Click the "Show differences only" box and then you can go through the differences between the models. You can select whichever model(s) you are interested in.

Good luck on your search and merry Christmas!
Never heard of a rear seat delete, but if your getting a truck, a crew is the most flexible option especially when you intend to keep a long time.
I would be afraid of the power steps, but you might have to order the lariat with chrome running boards and order the amp power steps or standard ford power steps and hpget FORSCAN and an OBD2 reader to adjust the settings for the stock steps from ford.
Are you planning on a fifth wheel trailer, or a pull type trailer or hauling loads
. Depending on your uses there are things to consider in terms of options.
Depending on driving style and city or highway, consider short box, 360 cameras and high mount cab camera for fifth wheel hookup.
Merry Christmas.
