I have an ‘86 F250. The truck starts up no problem on a cold start. After driving to the store or wherever when I try and restart it struggles to turn over and I have to put the gas pedal all the way down to the floor and it takes about 5-8 seconds for it To finally kick over. Usually always does, but trying to figure out what the issue is. Any one else have a similar issue?

"Struggles to turn over": Do you mean the starter cranking speed is slow, regardless of whether the engine actually runs?
Or is the starter speed normal, perhaps even a bit faster, and followed by some dark smoke at first when the engine finally runs? My truck occasionally does this on hot restarts, and is caused by heat affecting the fuel sitting in the carb. It's never been a big deal, and I've learned how to hold my tongue just right while pressing the gas pedal about halfway, and all is well.
