Came home from work today and shut the truck down and heard this buzzing from under the hood that I have never heard before. I could not pin point it but it’s not on the top of the motor and it stopped after 5min .it did not pull any codes and truck drives normal. truck is a 15 and on a diet
Thank you for any help

Reason: Video not working
A buzzing sound??? If yours is a '15, it should not have a wastegate solenoid, so not sure. Drive it again, when you shut it off, and if you hear it, pump the brakes a few times and see if it quits.
On EDIT, just got the video to play....interesting. Sounds electronic. Maybe others with newer ones will chime in. I just don't know buddy. Sorry
Yes a buzzing sound almost like something is shorting out . Also it is raining today so that might have something to do with it
Ok I will check that
I attached a video not sure if it works I’m not very good when it comes to uploading things
I haven't heard this before either, is it strongest on the drive side? Thinking through, ABS module, window wiper motor, not sure where the pump is for the windshield fluid. Bad relay perhaps? Codes from scanner or through forscan?
Yes strongest on drivers side top . I am pulling no codes and no issues with driving. It lasts about 5min after I shut it off than stops . I also cycled the key and it did it without starting it. I am stumped.
I hope I can get a better look tomorrow when it clears up .
I did a search and cannot find any info on it. I only keep coming up with the wastegate issue
It sounds like it is coming from the top of the motor back near the turbo but when I stick my head in the drivers side wheel wheel it is also loud . I cannot hear it in the cab . Went thru all electronics in the cab and everything works fine .this is driving me crazy. I cannot zero in on where it’s coming from .
I looked on mine yesterday as I was curious. Two possible sources: Abs motor, though I think it would be significantly louder, or a relay that is toggling back and forth. Can you pull the cover on the fuse box and feel each relay in there see if one of them is vibrating?
most likely the waste gate solenoid. Does this sound happen 30 seconds after u shut your vehicle off? Next time it does this pump the brake peddle a few times after you shut the vehicle off. No sounds that will be your waste gate solenoid. Not a big deal. My trucks been doing it for over a year.

His truck is a '15 which does not have a wastegate solenoid. This is coming from the driver's side too...someone suggested a bad relay..
