Question idle ramping

I’ve got a 94 F150 with a stock 302. The only changes are dual exhaust, cherry bomb and split pipes. Sometimes, mostly when the weather is wet, the idle ramps up and down. This happens no matter how long I drive it, but stops after it has gotten warm and set for a while (5 min). It also happen whenever the truck has been parked for a long time on an incline (backed in). I have installed a new idle control valve. It run and cranks fine. Any help?

does it give you any codes? did you replace the little motor on the valve or the IAC it self, in the haynes manual there is a test procedure for the circut that may help. DW

I would check the voltage reading on the green wire of the tps. Incline parking may allow condensation to run into tps from throttle body. May need scope to test wire voltage. A glich in voltage which only lasts for milliseconds wreaks havoc with EEC idle control. Test voltage reading when its running ok and again when its not. Good luck.
