I've removed the rear wiring harness with the intent to make a new one. There are a few breaks and patches. I'm considering adding a ground wire to the harness to assure adequate grounding at the bulbs. and I've soldered before, so that is within my skill set. I checked a couple of suppliers and they don't show the same harness I have.
Any advice on where and how to terminate the grounds at the tail light and license plate locations?
Any advice or lessons learned you can share on building a harness?

You shouldn't need any additional grounds unless your truck is really rusty. You could just run a ground strap from the bed to the frame if it is not grounding well. But if you want to build your own this company should have the correct wire colors and plugs. Rhode Island Wiring Service Inc.
