Hey guys this is probably going to be a stupud question but i cant figure out how to set up a 2 post lift for the truck? Nothing looks flat enough to use for the feet. Anyone have pictures where to put the feet?
I use the frame at the back just before it curves to go up over the rear axle, and on the front I use the radius arms.
radius arms? The arms that link to the front axle? So I'm guessing right at the bushing? If so I thought once you lifted it they would swing down and not sit right?
Lift it just forward of the bushings. The radius arm will remain level and the truck comes off the ground. The weight of the truck shifts from the tires to the arm of the hoist. Nothing else moves.
Hopefully the OP doesn't mind a follow on question - what do you guys have for lifts? Going to be building a 30x60 garage come spring, and that's one of the items I've wished for every time I've worked on any vehicle.
