Zf s5-42 shifter

Hi all ive got a f250 with a 6.9l and a 5spd zf 5s-42 and i cant for the life of me find a shifter for it, the guy i got it from broke the part that goes into the tranny in half and i would like to try and go stock with it but the ones i have found are short throws from ebay for like 150+ any one got ideas on where to find one? Junk yards around my area dont have ford trucks before 95 or so. And very rarely have manual tranny trucks in there

Checked your local dealer? Or has it been moved to the "obsolete" bin already?

I had to buy a new shifter handle for our '99 F450. Someone got a little rough with it and broke it off where it bolts to the transmission lid.

When mine broke, I welded it like Tom
I also added 3" to it, as I have a body lift on the truck
Now the shifter don't smash my hand on the dash anymore

ive talked to lots of shops and junk yards in the area and it was difficult to find anyone that would give me the time of day after they knew what i was looking for, ive got it installed now and drove it with a makeshift shifter lever and will be making a new one formed for my liking.
