Please ask further questions in the LARGE TRUCK forum. Most members of this forum have pickups.
Well, I can't really blame him since the forum title is "1961 - 1966 F-100 & Larger F-Series Trucks".
Maybe the forum should be renamed? Maybe 1961 - 1966 F-100 thru F-350 Trucks?
Not trying to pick a fight by the way...
The LARGE TRUCK forum is relatively new, and people with 500 and larger series truck should post there, because there are more members that own like trucks then there are in this forum.
For example: Looking up brake parts for 500 and larger series trucks is completely different than looking them up for F100/350's.
F100's have one size of shoes for the front, one size for the rear. Ditto F350's. F250's have one size front/rear, but 1966 F250's could have two different sizes front/rear.
Meanwhile, 500 and larger series trucks could have FIVE different sizes of front shoes, FIVE different sizes of rear brake shoes. The axle capacities must be known to get the correct sizes.
Without this info, the people have to tear the brakes down to see what sizes they are.
Then there are the wheel cylinders...there are many different sizes and most rears have two cylinders per side.
How many members of this forum that own pickups will know any of this 500 and larger series jazz?
