This seems like a typo or mistake. F100 - 10 1/2"? The other kits for F100 say 9 1/2" which seems correct. 10 1/2" would be for the 16" and larger wheels typical of an F250.

Graphic Express - 1961-66 Ford Truck F-100 10½" Stainless Steel Hub Cap FORD Letters Decal Kit - Does 4 Wheels

There are all sorts of mistakes inre to the applications of these misc. hubcaps. Whoever came up with these applications didn't know s**t!

The stainless steel and painted 'outie' hubcaps used on 1965/66 F100's is 10 1/4" diameter (TYPE 2 in pic).

The other mistake with this hubcap is, saying it's for 1962/64. Impossible!

The stainless version (C4AZ-1130-A) was introduced in 1964 Custom/Galaxie/Galaxie 500, also used on 1965/66 F100 Custom Cab/Rangers.

The letters are stainless on a black background.

There were two TYPE 4 (EDIT: TYPE 2) painted versions for F100's: Painted white with white letters on a red background and painted argent with argent letters on a red background.

NONE came with argent letters on a blue background, as the pic shows. (sigh)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
TYPE 1 is the so called 'innie' "bottle cap" stainless steel & painted hubcaps used on 1961/66 F100/250 2WD's.

F100 = 9 1/4" diameter, F250 = 10 1/2" diameter.
--------------------------------------------------------
TYPE 5 is the accessory 15" wheel cover introduced for 1966 F100 2WD/4WD, used thru 1977. These were also standard equipment on 1967/77 Bronco.

Bill - try clicking on the link in my post first - its a different link than the one posted by the OP. I'm referring to the Innie.

I did click on it...notice I added the diameters of the two TYPE 1 innie bottlecaps.

The thing is, whoever came up with these hubcap applications doesn't know s**t from shinola.

The 1941 Ford Passenger Car Ford script hubcap (11A-1130) was not used in 1942 and it was not used on trucks.

1942 Ford cars used 21A-1130, it has the blue oval in the center with lines radiating from the sides. Ford introduced a new porcelain/neon sign in 1942 with this same design.

The Fairlane hubcaps are another mish-mash.

The so-called 1947 & 1948 Ford car hubcap (6A-1130-A) was not used on early 1947 cars. It was used on 1948/52 F1's but was not used on 1953/56 F100's.

1953/56 F100's used a painted version of this hubcap with red Ford letters.

First correction, Stainless steel and painted 'outie' hubcaps never used on '65 F 100's. Second correction, Type 4 never used on any F100, used on '67-'77 F250-F350. Third correction, assuming you meant TYPE 2, painted white with white letters on red background never used on any F 100, used only on '65-'67 Econoline vans.

TYPE 4 was a typo, since corrected.

TYPE 4 "innies" (10 5/16" diameter): 1967/68 F250.

TYPE 4 "outies" (11 3/4" diameter): 1967/77 F250/350, 1969/74 E300; 1975/77 E250/350.

TYPE 2: C5TZ-1130-A .. Outie painted hubcap = White with white letters on a red background: 1965/67 E100 & F100.

TYPE 2: C6TZ-1130-D .. Outie painted hubcap = Argent with argent letters on a red background: 1966/67 F100.

I know you've said both now and in the past that this hubcap was not used on 1965 F100's, but parts catalogs were updated at least twice a year and the 1964/72 truck catalog final printing was May 1975.

How many times were the fleet managers data books updated?

I was in a rush yesterday when I posted this and just did a quick cut and paste. I approached Graphic Express several months ago with the idea of producing Hub Cap Decal Inserts specifically for the TYPE 2: C5TZ-1130-A. I lost interest when I had the hubcaps hand painted and didn't follow up beyond my first inquiry. Apparently they ran with the idea, and now we have the current "description" from them. There it is....deniability. It was my idea, but that's about it. Kudos to Graphic Express for taking the time to cater to the classic Ford community, and for that I'll contact them with regard to the above comments (good stuff!).

I can't solve the '65 outie white hub cap debate. I love the look, I have them, and as long as there is evidence, albeit post facto, that they were offered in 1965, then that's good enough for me.

But I'm gonna need help from you guys. How do we correct the descriptions?

1. Graphic Express Part number A734
2. Graphic Express Part number A717.
3. Graphic Express Part number A742.
4. Graphic Express Part number A749.

Maybe they simply say, for example "Part number A734: Ford 10 1/4 OD TYPE 2 Painted and Stainless hubcap"

First of all , the decals are a great idea. Its a real time saver, and much better results than trying to paint. A 734 10 1/2 outie 1966 F 100 15" wheels, 1965-1967 Econoline 14" wheels 1964 Galaxie with 14" wheels. A 717 9 1/2' outie 1965-1967 Econoline with 13" wheels. 1964 Galaxie with 13" wheels. A 742 9 1/2" innie 1961-1965 F 100 and some 1966. A 749 10 1/2" innie 1961-1966 F 250.

They show "black gloss" or "tomato red" available. The hubcaps I scrounged are stainless with black paint. Do I have the correct ones for my '66 F100?

I know I am a little off the "decal" topic but were these hubcaps on any F100's? I know they have been on my truck (66 4wd) since I can remember as a kid but I haven't seen them listed anywhere so I'm thinking they are not correct??

I also have a set of these. Looks like these might be what is supposed to be on the truck?

First question, first photo. No, never on any F 100. Second question. Yes, correct style for '66 F 100's that came with outie type wheels. This style ( 10 1/2 Type 2 ) came only 2 ways on '66 F100's. Stainless steel with black trim or argent silver with red trim.

So on a 4x4 were these only used on the back or did they make them with a center hole for the hub?
