No complaining here... just sharing an event that I don't normally allow to happen. I drive in daily driver or tow tune... and mornings have me start in warm-up tune. I have other tunes, but I almost never use them. I've used the race tune twice - once by accident, and once just to see what would happen. Many of you have already seen the results of that second time:
Well... yesterday morning on my way to work, I quickly caught up to two semis nose to trailer on a grade, doing 35-40 in a 60 MPH zone. It's a two-lane highway in a no-pass zone, but I know a very short passing zone is coming up before a blind turn. So my head goes "You know... it's been a while since I tried the race tune, and I wonder if Stinky's still got it.", and my finger goes "There, I pooshed de botton."
Come the dashed yellow lines to my left, and Pedal pounces on Mat in a passionate embrace. Stinky couldn't make up his mind which way he wanted to point, he was squirreling so bad in the butt. Now I'm thinking "Great... there went a year of wear on $600 worth of tires." After I passed both trucks with plenty of room to spare, I said aloud "Bad Stinky... bad!"... while trying not to let him see that stupid smirk on my face.
Well, least it was a somewhat good 'Bad Stinky' this time! I was somewhat expecting to see Stinky changing his career path to become an architect and began to install Windows everywhere...
So both rear tires broke loose at a 35-40 roll? Now I REALLY want those 160/80s lol. Are you running many supporting mods or just the injectors?
Look at his signature, he has lots of supporting mods. And he is running 160/100 injectors. He said a little harder to tune, but worth it. That is if you get the right tuner.
That reminds me of a scene from Deadpool (the X-Men version). I don't recommend the movie for the frequent church-goers... it's a bit harsh on the ears.
Stinky has been treating us very well since I gave up trying to chase down the intermittent in him. The intermittent is still there, but he always gets us where we're going, has plenty of power, and the injectors are staying put.
