I am ordering carpet for my truck. In order to complete my order I have to tell them if I have a high or low tunnel.
I have no idea how to tell the difference between a high or low tunnel.
Could somebody help me out here.
1979 f-150
reg. cab 2wd
460/c-6
I didn't know there was a difference. Did you check the online store here? I know there are carpet kits specifically designed for your truck....I have seen them on ebay before too.
I also thought a hight tunnel was only used for 4 speed manuals, but it was after I told them that it was a c-6 that they said they had to know if it was a high or low tunnel.
Years ago I had a 74 f-150 that the top of the tunnel was removable, I wonder if that is what determines a high or low tunnel???
Yes if it has a bolt on cover about 2" high it is high tunnel. Your 79 should be low tunnel. The only 2wd c6 trucks with high tunnel I have seen were 75-earlier.
I appreciate all the help! Now I can go ahead and finish my order.
It's not too often I need to ask questions on this site, but it sure is a life saver when I need it.
Thanks,
John
