I own a Ford E150, 2005. Some time ago an inept thief attempted to pop the lock cores out of the passenger side door and double door on passengers side. This botched attempt not only mangled the lock cores, but did body damage to the metal surrounding the cores.
I live in Dallas, TX and am looking for a auto body/smith who can give me a fair and comprehensive estimate to fix this mess.
Were it not for the body damage, I think that I could change out the lock cores myself, with a little help from my friends.
Welcome to FTE.
Sorry to hear of this.
Yea sometimes it doesn't pay to lock it up, let them open the door and walk away with the goods and you don't have to do any repair work.
Sorry I don't know any one in your area. The only think I can say is you pick up the needed parts and then hit a few body shops to see what they have to say.
When there look over the jobs they have done and if you like the way they look good, if not move on to the next shop.
