79 Monster Prodject
I ran across a tire fitment guide and it says for me to have a
39 will need fender trimming 6 inches of suspension lift
38.5 x 15 ill need 6 inches of suspension lift. thats without cutting the fenders.
I can run a 36 x 15 with 4 inches of suspension lift
and a 35 x 12.50 with 2 inches of suspension lift and minor fender trimming.
how much fender trimming would it take to get those 38s in under the fenders farther? or perhaps the 36s?

Anyway is there anything els that i should be thinking of at the moment? How about drivelines and U joints?
"The C6 is the strongest automatic transmission you can possibly use if built correctly. They require fewer aftermarket parts than any other trans to make them almost completely bullet proof. In something heavy they are the way to go. Noekle runs them for about a year in the monster truck before freshening and that's about 100 shows worth of use. If 9800lbs with about 1300 horsepower isn't a load to carry, what is??"
I still think a C6 is your best bet. Use CTM u-joints and talk to Jesse at highangledriveline for custom shafts. He makes some of the best. Can't advise you on the trimming, just buy the tire you want and then trim accordingly.
Tell ya what, I know I've told you this before but how about another quote from another knowledgable builder/racer from a different forum: (Dave McClain)
