Sorry if in wrong spot. Just bought another 7.3 in Guam, it has a no start issue, (starts when it wants to) good fuel pressure to the fuel bowl, ordered a new cps just in case, seems to crank over fine, two things I noticed, two used relays from under the dash in the cup holder, and a bunch of old parts in the bed (will post pic) looks like it has a brand new ipc, but when I unplug it and crank it over, the gauges go crazy. Also no smoke out the exhaust. What am I missing? Also, the truck has 43k, yes, 43k miles. 2002 ccsb 4x4 in great shape besides this issue.
Hi, I’m a newbie to the site. Miles on the trucks mean nothing, history is what counts, flooded stuff is popping up all over now, from what you describe and looking at your pics it’s most likely electrical 7.3 engine harnesses fail quite often and they don’t make a replacement for them. Contaminated fuel destroys the electrical fuel systems to and cause all kinds of mechanical problems.
