2008 F-450 Lemon Law Repair
Hello:
I have been looking for a used F450 diesel for a while and I ran accross this 2008 with around 80,000 miles. It is really in great shape for the year and mileage. After doing some basic research I found out that the truck was a Ford buy back. According to the Ford dealer that has this truck, the truck has been repaired and they are offering a 12,000 12 month warranty for the repair. I was able to get a copy of the supposed repair order and have attached it to this thread. Based on what you guys see listed here should I turn and run?
Thanks

Wow - they probably pulled the cab and then pulled the motor, basically resealing the motor. The upper and lower coolant hoses we have seen, the truck probably has WHITE connectors on the main hose connections to the radiator. Ford did that as they saw signs of cavitation, replace the hose with one seal (Black connections) wither a hose with two seals (White connections).
Does not scare me.

I picked up my 08 F450 CCLB Lariat w 95k miles in good condition for about that price out the door. Mine is the 4:30 gear ratio, check the door as you might not want the lower ration unless the truck is used exclusively for towing weight.
BTW - I love the F450, it makes u-turns in less space than a standard pickup.

The answer to your second quote in red? Let's see. With a build date of February 19, 2007 that makes this a very early build 2008. Warranty claim history? With 24 total dealer visits for warranty repairs, with the last one at Folsom Lake Ford in Folsom California with TEN (that's right TEN) lines on the repair order on September 23, 2016 at 85903 miles. What would you do?
In my opinion, YOU COULDN'T GIVE THIS TRUCK TO ME!!!
