Question Alignment issues lifted/leveled advice?

Okay so I have been debating on getting my truck lifted a few inches or leveled to run 35s....I really like the look of the 37s but I do not want to lose the performance of the truck.

After reading over several leveled and lifted discussions i have seen were people have had issues with alignment after the fact.....so what recommendations would someone give to get the best results with either a lift or level.

My thoughts on level so far is the ready lift 2.5 with Track bar bracket and sway bar drop downs seems to be the better level with the fewest complaints!

As far as a complete lift kit I have read that the 4" BDS radius lift is a nice lift!

So out of the two has anyone had issues with alignment out of the ready-lift or BDS lift?

And yes I have seen stage 3 Motorsports truck with these lifts but I didn't see where they addressed anything about getting that trucked aligned or maybe I missed it.

I would prefer to keep stock rims with 35x12.50x20 Toyo mts....Only because I haven't seen any wheels that look that impressive with the two tone white and caribou bottom.

Please post pics of similar setup as well as specs for your setup

what alignment issues?
you will have to correct the steering wheel angle, easy to do. just adjust the drag link.
toe will remain the same, doesn't change. should have it checked though to make sure it was correct from the factory.
camber does not change.

caster does need to be corrected. more positive, around 2*. some kits include caster correction sleeves

If it were me, I would have it checked out by a reputable truck shop. One that has been in business for years rather than a few months. They should have the expert knowledge and experience dealing with this sort of stuff. It wouldn't hurt to make a few phone calls.

All of those tires fit stock. So I'd just use a 2" BDS leveling kit. That kit maintains the stock capability.

You only need the caster bushings included in the kit, and then realign the steering angle. You may want to change Fords toe in setting a hair. But it;s optional. Cake, don't worry about it.

I also agree. The stock wheels offered by Ford are my favorites. I know they'll fit right, be strong, and won't stick out further than a normal flare can cover.

I've got the BDS 4" RA kit...no alignment issues here. Truck drives great. I swapped out the OE wheels for aftermarket 20x10's with Toyo 37x13.5x20's at the same time I did the lift.

I installed the 2 inch BDS last weekend. Even though the truck feels good I still dropped the truck off at the alignment shop this morning. I'll know later today if its off or not.

No alignment issues with my vehicle. I have 37’s with 3.5 Ready lift. You have to realign a vehicle after lifting.

2.5” ReadyLift here. Alignment is spot-on and within factory tolerances. Some call for a castor adjustment, I spend allot of time on the road and don’t see the need. It doesn’t wear parts early or stress any parts, etc. All good. After ReadyLift visited the shop & trained the techs on Ford’s adaptive steering, they nailed my steering wheel alignment. It’s a good shop, they just didn’t know how to center the steering wheel properly. I really like the kit and the ride. Will keep the factory wheels and buy 35 X 12.50 Nitto Ridge’s in the summer.

Looks like mine, toe was off from factory, lift didnt affect anything other than realignment of steering wheel. Did you put the caster shims in?

When ever you lift a front end 1/4" or 6" it will affect the tow in and you will need to center the steering wheel.

Ya, I did install the alignment cams that were included with the kit. They were easy to install compared to taking the stock sleeves out.
