Do you think I need to transfer more weight to the front axle? Truck and trailer near perfectly level. Truck is 2017 F350 CCSB 6.7 and Trailer is 31 ft Airstream, 10000 gvwr
Equalizer hitch with 5 washers.
Truck only
Steer axle 5000
Drive axle 3680
WDH not engaged bars in bed of truck
Steer axle 4560
Drive axle 5120
Trailer axle 7900
Thanks for the numbers! I was wondering the scale weight of the front of a 350 6.7 because I found a cool equation for determining proper tire pressure.
I would say you are good to go. You have shifted the balance when the trailer is attached by 400 lbs with the bars attached. That’s almost 10% more weight on the front axle helping even the weight, create safer steering situations (expansion joints, major potholes and sway).
That 6.7 really helps even out this weight. Would love to see the numbers with this same trailer hooked up to a gasser.
