So I was helping a friend move a motorcycle yesterday using his 2008 F150 with the 5.4 engine. The trailer was a 6x12 enclosed trailer so I'm guessing 800-1000 lbs? While hooked up he had a noticeable vibration in the steering wheel. It didn't matter if it was loaded with the motorcycle or unloaded. Once we dropped the trailer the vibration went away. Anyone have any ideas as to what would have caused this?
Well I initially thought that as well but considering it was a 6x12 trailer I'm doubting that. Again it didn't matter if it was loaded or not and I figure the trailer weighed only about 800-1000lbs max. I would lean towards something worm up front. weird one for sure.
if it was there with the trailer and gone without then I would say it was the trailer. It's happened to me. Changed trailers and it went away. My brother in law has a flat bed I've borrowed a couple of times and it always does the dance behind me and i can feel it in the wheel. My 7 X 14 trailer tows supper sweet but I keep up on it.
