Starter wires

What would happen if put a break in the ground wire of my starter solenoid? Can Anything bad happen from the hot wire from the battery still being hooked up and the ground being disconnected???

no ground .. solenoid will not work. and truck will not try to start.

Not the best schematic but this is what I’m thinking
Will it start a fire if the ground is disconnected

This idea won’t work. Did a small test burnt wires every time...

ok new problem got this dam thing to start now but only have reverse park is fine netural fine d 123 only reverse tried unplugging trans wireing harniss still only reverse.
