Since this thread has gone cold, and all the 6.2's are working flawlessly throught the winter, I would ask you guys what you think of this new eTorque "mild Hybird" technology that Ram is sending out on the new Gen5 1500.? I'm not sure but the first thing that comes to my mind is who will make the first delete kit for it. I do like the reclining rear crew cab seats in the new Ram though.
Interesting for sure, but I'm going to reserve judgment until I see someone put it to the test to evaluate performance of the new platforms. I do really want to see how these electric motors do supplementing power.
Somewhat related but what exactly did Ford do to increase the torque in the 2017+ 6.2 vs the 2011-2016s?
Larger valves, different cam profile, new more efficient transmission with slightly different gear ratios. The max torque is also at a substantially lower rpm.

I was not aware of the larger valves. Do you remember where you saw this information? I'd be interested if you can remember.
Also, there is a new intake manifold, I believe, with longer runners that increase torque.
