Humpeth day plus one is the winter solstice. It happens at 8:27 Pacific time today. Cold here too. Frost all over the place looking out the window this morning, although the temp gauge says 36.

Hey all, been pretty busy here. Hope all is well with everyone. Just finished building Lane a see thru V-twin motor (early present from my business partner), can see all valves, piston, crank and little spark plugs work-pretty cool. Just put a 4" turbo back exhaust on the F350 and it is LOUD! Really whistles at idle, but I may have gone just a bit too far this time. The 60 is all buttoned up, drove her around in the chilly weather today-next is posi and gears and lowering. I have a 10 blade hot side wheel and 360* bearing and rebuild kit coming for my turbo-any recommendations for a local guy to rebuild? First place I called in Stockton quoted me $1000 labor??

sounds like a cool little Engine Joe, give Left coast diesel a call , out of Livermore though , there the only ones that will touch my Truck, not very often but when I do it goes to them.ive heard Costas but they are always packed .

Seasons greetings from the lost coast everyone! Bunch of in-laws in town and we're hosting.. just keeping the food coming, clean dishes, warm hot tub and a little fire in the wood stove. Celebrating today as i had a 24-hr shift yesterday... Maltman, I'd give you a hand with the turbo rebuild and charge nothing. I'm leaning towards rebuilding mine as i've noticed a coolant leak today for the first time in almost 10 years of owning the truck.. *can't believe it's lasted this long!!* if i do a water pump/thermostat/gasket replacement i'm also considering 'bringing her down' for injectors and turbo work... problem is, i leave for deployment in three weeks... will have to wait until April.
anyhow.. hope you guys have safe travels and enjoy the new year around the corner.

Well I got news today that our work is cutting the overtime, want to go to 40 hr weeks nationwide....would equate to a 20k a year paycut. Not very happy about it with the recent gas tax increase, but what can you do. Starting to dust off the resume, maybe go back to school and finish out my associates to a bachelors degree in the mean time.

Anytime you get a pay cut it is never good. Technically I am getting an increase in my disability checks starting in January, of $21, however, my rent is going up 2 months later by $30, so I will be in the hold $9 a month. One step forward, two steps back.
