Was given 2. A 1984 f800 that runs but Jas twisted frame, and a f350 with blown motor. Wanted to know if I can use motor from f800 in f350. The 87 350 has a 6.9 if I and a 4 spd tranny and the 84 f800 has a 429 4v and a 5 spd tranny

Reason: Updating info
Going from a diesel to carbureted gas motor is much easier than going the other way. That's the good news. Both manual transmission, again good news.
The trans from the F800 may not fit in the F350.
The 429 will have the same bell pattern as the 460, which was used in the F350. However, I think you will find the engine mounts are different. The 429 in that F800 probably has one mount up front and the rear two are off the bell housing. Check that out as part of your prep.
Your 4 speed might bolt up to the 429, depending on the trans it currently have. If it has a separate bell and trans, it is possible it will bolt up.
Cooling is a question mark. Exhaust is going to be different, and the big question would be if the 429 manifolds will work in the F350 frame.

A lot of this is eyeballing it to begin with.
It is not a bolt in, easy weekend swap.
the 429 has mounting holes on side of block that match the ones on the diesel 6.9. The 350 is also really lifted (5.75 inches) so running the exhaust shouldn't be a real problem. Also have torches and welders. My real concern is going to be the ignition.
I put a 429 into a 84? F150 back in high school over 25 years ago. We had to run a remote oil filter and grind the drivers exhaust manifold to clear the steering box IIRC. This would be pretty similar to your project. This had a C6 and it was the first Trans I ever rebuilt.
Its been a lot of years and I have done a lot of projects since then...

so many people want to suggest using different engine or rebuild what I have, but money is tight and free isn't rejected
