serpentine belt splitting

I have a 2006 F150 that will be on it's 4th serpentine belt when I get the next one changed. Is there something that could possibly be causing these belts to split? A burr on a pulley or something? What should I tell my mechanic I want him to check?

Tell your mechanic to find out why the belts he installed are splitting. You should’t Have to tell him what to do, and then pay him also.

Count the ribs on the pulleys and then on the belt. The numbers of must match.
