Here's a easy one.
My wife asked me the other day why the 4x4 switch on the dash of my Excursion isn't lit. So I said that's a good point. Lol. The 4x4 works fine and the indicator light will come on when in 4x4 just no back lighting for the 4x4 switch. Anybody know what size of bulb this is so I can pick one up and change it? Thanks

Not that easy, lol
Ford calls this an unserviceable part. I'm sure you can tinker with it but when mine was out I just replaced the part.

At least you can still get the part. I have been finding some parts to be unobtainable, like the rear wiper motor.

Is that right? Man I love my old Excursion but if I can't get parts for it that's gonna suck.

Looks like Rockauto has them too. Remans not new though.

Yea...I should have clarified....I try to keep all replacement parts new from Ford or better, trying to avoid reman stuff, but ended up going with a reman rear wiper motor from Oreillys. It is A LOT slower than the original, but seems to be getting better (or I'm getting used to it!)

The new headlight switch with the fog light option was a beast to find, luckily found it in Canada a few years ago.
