1976 ford e350 conversion project
I have a 1976 ford e350. With a 460 in it. I was wondering if I can fit a few series truck cab on the e350 frame will it fit or will there be more issues then it's worth.
It really depends on what age/style cab you are wanting to swap on.
The Econoline frame is completely different from the truck frames.
They are a fairly popular chassis to swap the old 40's & 50's COE cabs onto.
But for the newer truck cab, it's going to require fabricating all the body mounts/brackets. You will also need to get creative with the steering hook up. The steering box is in a different location/orientation then the truck steering boxes are.
For me if you are talking a 50's or older cab. Then it may be worth it. If it's a 60's or newer cab just use the truck frame and swap the 460 into the truck frame.
