This is not out of my truck. this is a spring we use on equipment at work. Now for my idea. can someone tell me if this spring matches, in geometry and pressure to the blue spring? If so, Ill save me some money, and Ill dave yall some money. Might be a cheaper mod than you think! lol. I can measure this dpring for geometry. and I can find out the pressure from the place we order them. McMaster Carr, I think.

If I was going to roll those dice on my 6.0's fuel system, I would be darn sure to have a fuel pressure gauge hooked up.
Not worth it my book, not to mention you will want to replace that gasket when you take the cover off.........plus the o-rings for the fuel lines.
oh, i would make sure before i leaped. But, I am pretty sure ford does not make that spring. Im mainly curios. 60 bucks for a spring and a rubber oring? Thats steep, if you ask me. Specially to upgrade a screw up on thier part. My opinion.
Ford, like all manufacturers make very little of their product. In this case, none as it’s Navistars.
To determine a springs force you need to know the wire diameter, the wire size, the total height, type of material, amount of coils, the OD and how the ends are wound. Probably something I’m missing.......
The “blue spring” wasn’t an across the board replacement for all vehicles, it was a solution for certain problem applications. How the internet interpreted it is another discussion.
$60.00 for a one time fix. Really? If you want to save money, then sell your truck.
Lol, I aint sellin. Im learnin. There is allways a method to my madness. I can afford to learn. Im not trying to be an ace mechanic at the ford house. This is my toy, my road to learn how it works. lol
I talked to Ed at FICMrepair about 2 months ago about this. He said that while this would work he recommended just going with the blue spring for both money reasons and ease of "tuning" it.
