I’m having a coolant problem. I have a 06 f350 ccsb srw. For a little bit I was loosing coolant and I had just figured it was the cap because it would be all over the degas bottle and under the hood and a couple other spots. Then the other day I noticed that it had gone down the left inside wheel well and all over the spring and inside of my wheel and that time is the worst I have ever seen it. It leaked everywhere all underneath and everything. So I finally got a cap and thought the problem was solved or so I thought... just tonight I noticed that we’re I had my truck idling for not even a minute and seen a decent sized puddle. And I climed underneath and the only thing I seen something is from the steel metal lines underneath(think the trans lines) and didn’t see anything else. Also I check all the hoses hooked up to the degas bottle too and they were still connected and didn’t wet or anything. Anybody got any ideas where to look next?
Yep, with that high of a flow rate out of the degas bottle cap, likely head gasket or egr cooler. Any work done on it in the past? Any heavy white smoke on startup?(egr cooler).
Recommend you do a scrub of the 6.0 diesel forum - lots of discussion there.
