Wow! A 35!
Seems Reagan and I have at least one thing in common.
It so happens I think he was one of - if not the- best President we have ever had.

Smack dab right in the middle of the libertarian test. But I do lean towards the conservative side of things.

What is "excessive liberty"? I thought we were supposed to be a free country. I need to get Gordon Liddy's book, When I Was Young, the Country Was Free.

That's right. In Illinois (and probably other places) they pay you not to grow crops. It's supposed to keep the prices up. We had an 80 acre farm. These days if you don't have at least 1,000 acres you're considered a gardner, not a farmer.

My quistion is in the second test, according to playin with my answers and lookin at the results, that right wingers are against subsidies, while i have never looked into the benefits and...(cannot think of word opposite of benefits)....of susidies, i would think that the small time farmer (a rep Cons) would be fore subsidies if it puts money in their pockets? and keeps them afloat

I think that circumstances dictate your politics. If I was a famer, big or small, I think I'd be for subsidies, wouldn't you? My parents were both democrats.

I would also, and am, yet I am a rather staunch republican conservative, with a few thigns that do cross the lines,

I think that they consider it as government help which is a liberal issue, more gov involvement
I think it is one of those issues that both sides can agree on.
