In the process of trying to pull the new Dennis Carpenter harness thru the column using a wire chase, I could not get it to budge past the flange. Well, I pulled the top flange, and as soon as it was loose I heard a piece of metal fall down. Pulling the whole flange out after removing the locking washer, I found that the piece the shift lever moves against was broken.
Ive looked at every reference I could find and have had no luck with a part number, what its called and where I can get a rwplacement..
Sorry about the post.. found the part number and have it ordered. For anyone that finds they have the same issue... the part number is 43-7245 and is called a "Shift Lockout Plate" Purchased that little sucker from LMC for a whooping $22 bucks with their bullcrap $10.95 shipping and handling charge. Fricken hate to have to play their stupid games, but they were the only ones that I could find that had it.
"Shipping and Handling?? I feel like a young lad in Kevin Spacey's dressing room" LOL
