Surging at highway speed
Hey guys i have a surging issue which is especially noticeably when i tow my trailer. If i have it in D the surge is happening around 2200 rpm and drops maybe a 100rpm or so and then back up. 200 rpm at the most it surges.
That is only a few seconds it drops the rpm and then stays for a few seconds and returns to normal.
1996 f250/with a 460 auto. No codes no fuel pressure issues, i am stumped!

Fuel pressure?? You sure? What is the fuel pressure while conditions are occuring, not when idling in driveway. When was the last time the thing was serviced, fuel filter, oil, air, pcv, o2 sensor, distributor cap, rotor, plug wires, plugs, EVER? How is the muffler/cat? plugged or not?
